JOB TITLE – Project Support Worker

The MAXwell centre and Every1’s garden Project are looking for a youth worker to join a dedicated team of staff and volunteers. The ideal youth worker for this role will have a background in youth work in youth work, particularly with primary aged children and a keen interest in outdoor learning.
We provide a vibrant community centre and award winning garden project.
We run garden sessions that offer children from our local area the opportunity to grow their own fruit and vegetables in a safe, nurturing environment.
We are seeking to employ a project support worker to help develop our award winning youth work. We currently provide 3 afterschool clubs. The clubs encourage youths with complex issues to take some exercise, spend time outdoors and to collaborate with their peers in a positive, productive way, building confidence.
The project support worker will also help run our holiday Garden Club which provides physical activity, healthy eating and the experience of growing plants for food and wildlife with up to 20 local children taking part each day throughout the school holidays. The children participate in a variety of outdoor activities based on suggestions and we adapt the club based on feedback from the children e.g. planting, bug hunts, games, crafts, making soup and our most popular request “The Garden Olympics”.
Part Time Position: 28 hours per week during school holidays and 15 hours per week term time.
Rate – £10.50/Hour
