Our centre has undergone an amazing transformation since 2013, with the development of our community garden. On this page we’ve included a timeline from the end of last year, right back to the beginning of the project.
September 2015: The end of our summer Garden Club.
July 2015: Our garden club was and continues to be very popular!
July 2015: Produce from our garden.
July 2015: A visit to Bonnethill Sheltered Housing by our Garden Club attendees.
April 2015: Spring in the garden.
December 2014: We won the prestigious surf award! Andy went to Glasgow to collect it.
October 2014: We are awarded the RHS ‘It’s Your Neighbourhood’ Award
October 2014: Jalal harvests a giant pumpkin from our garden
October 2014: Our first wormery is built by Andy.
September 2014: Harvest giveaway at the centre.
August 2014: Everyone had a great time at our summer Garden Club.
August 2014: The pavilion is up and running.

August 2014: Our water collection units arrive and Andy builds some new step containers.
21st June 2014: Lorraine Kelly visits us for our garden’s Grand Opening.

June 2014: More garden construction, the pavilion goes up and our bug hotel is opened!

October 2013: Lloyds TSB awarded us £2400 to complete the access ramp.
October 2013: New gates and poly tunnel foundations installed.
October 2013: Richard Hewitt is presented with a gift from Bobby on behalf of the mosaic group that meets at the centre.
September 2013: Complementary therapy room finished
September 2013: Plots taking shape
August 2013: We won the Clydesdale ‘Spirit of the Community Award’.
August 2013: We ensure that the garden is fully accessible to all members of the community.
August 2013: Donated containers from ATS and McConechy’s.
August 2013: Grass planting gets underway
August 2013: Allotments take shape as DCC deliver several tonnes of compost.
August 2013: Fruit trees, provided by plantsandapples.com are coming along nicely.
August 2013: Herbaceous rockery takes shape
August 2013: Raised beds begin to appear in the garden
June 2013: Volunteers begin work.
June 2013: Groundworks get underway.
17th April 2013: Soil samples sent to James Hutton Institute
April 2013: James Jack Cranes help us prepare for the ground work.
February 2013: The project begins!
